♥ Happy Birthday Luigi! ♥
Our sweet, cuddly, adorable doggie is seventeen years old today!
That’s right, 17! Looks pretty good doesn’t he?! And other than a few senior moments he is holding up well. I’m so lucky that he is our dog. That cute little face of his brightens up my day every time I look at him. He is as sweet as can be and nobody cuddles better. I always wanted a dog like Luigi ♥
A couple of years before we got him, I saw a picture in a magazine of the cutest little shih tzu and cut it out. I stashed the photo somewhere and completely forgot about it. Then, a few years ago, long after we had Luigi, I came across it and could not believe the resemblance. It looked exactly like Luigi, same coloring and everything. We were meant to be together.
When Luigi was just 9 weeks old, we were in a pet store and a psychic happened to be shopping. She really took to Luigi and told me he was an “old soul.” I think she was on to something because he has always been very calm and centered and soothing to be around. I call him my Zen master. When I’m upset he sometimes comes and puts a paw on me. He has enriched our lives in so many ways. We are very blessed that he is still with us. Dogs are awesome.
